Who these terms cover

These Captain Terms apply to captains who create a captain profile on HeyYachty, operated by HeyYachty LLC (Florida). Contact: [email protected]. They add to the Terms of Service.

Credentials and review

You must hold a current USCG license or credential for the trips you accept and keep it current. HeyYachty reviews every captain profile and credential before it is shown to guests. Editing your name, bio, area, license, rate or credential sends the profile back for review, and a profile is hidden when the credential expires.

Holders of an OUPV (six-pack) license may carry no more than 6 guests.

Independent captains

You are an independent captain, not an employee or agent of HeyYachty. You are responsible for safe operation, following the law and the boat owner's rules, and for your own licenses, insurance and taxes.

Rates and payouts

You set your hourly rate. Guests pay rate × hours at checkout and you receive 100% of it, paid through Stripe Connect. Whatever Stripe charges to send each payout (0.25% + $0.25 per payout, 0.25% funds routing, and $2 per month the account gets paid) is deducted from your payout.

Privacy of your details

Guests see your public profile only. Your credential details and phone number are visible only to you and HeyYachty administrators, and to the guest of a confirmed, paid trip where the trip needs it.
